What is Industry Ready?
Industry Ready, is about supporting ALL young engineering professionals in New Zealand, into paid internships, graduate roles, part time and full-time positions. As well as Postgraduates looking for a research project in industry.
How do I register as a student or company?
It’s FREE to Register! It’s quick and easy and takes 2 minutes. A handful of simple questions and nothing to upload. We made registration easy so that you can start to see potential matches immediately. Don’t miss out on the right match for you. Register now!
Will I get paid for my internship?
The simple answer is Yes! We want you to feel valued and an asset to the company you will be working for. We would expect you to be paid the recommended New Zealand minimum wage as a basic requirement. Most organisations would pay above the minimum wage.
What are the benefits of a subscription package?
As a student, a subscription means you will be matched with companies and internship opportunities that best align with your interests and career goals. You also gain access to our training programmes, and can receive personalised advice about CVs, interviews, networking, presenting, career pathways and more. Your subscription goes towards providing training resources, seminars and matching algorithms.
What are the benefits of being a Partner?
Being a partner means you can showcase your organisation on the Industry Ready website. (e.g. photo, content, website links). You get free access to the Industry Ready platform. (no subscriptions to pay). You will also be invited to profile your organisation on our online Industry Ready forums.
How do I find the best student or best position?
It’s easy with our Industry Ready matching system. Once you have chosen a simple subscription you will get notifications of the best matches that suit your profile and requirements. You also have the added benefit of requesting additional searches, if you wish.
Can I watch the online video interviews to short list candidates?
Yes, you can. We provide you with notifications of the best candidates that match your profile and requirements. You can then shortlist this list by watching the online interviews. Which means you invite the best of the best students in to your organisation’s recruitment process (e.g. face to face interviews).
Are recent university graduates eligible?
Yes. Industry Ready supports ALL YOUNG PROFESSIONALS in NZ. As long as you graduated from an NZ tertiary institution, you are eligible for a FREE register.
Are international students eligible?
Yes. As long as you’re studying at a NZ tertiary institution and have a valid visa for working in NZ.
